System Administrator is an information technology specialist responsible for configuring, maintaining, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and networks. Their main tasks include setting up operating systems, installing and updating software, monitoring resource performance, ensuring information security, and promptly troubleshooting issues.

Technical Support Manager / Technical Support Representative is a specialist responsible for providing technical support to users of the company’s products or services. They help resolve technical issues, consult clients and employees, and ensure that every request is handled promptly and efficiently.

Depending on their experience, they may also coordinate the work of the support team or participate in the implementation of new service processes.

Career development and salary trends

System Administrator

The profession of a system administrator remains one of the most in-demand in Ukraine, as evidenced by the large number of job openings on Jooble: over 3,360 active listings, including nearly 900 new ones in the last week (as of June 2025).

Career prospects offer opportunities for growth in technical roles (senior system administrator, DevOps engineer, IT systems architect) as well as managerial positions (head of IT department, IT director).

Support Manager

Learning format

1. Where and when? Classes are held offline in Lviv, at the Academy’s Training Center on Petrushevycha Square, 3 — twice a week from 17:30 to 20:00;

2. Teamwork and communication – learning goes beyond the classroom. In the Academy’s Discord channel, you’ll work on team projects, share experiences, and receive support from instructors;

3. Expert intensives – every 2-3 months, we organize meetings with specialists from IT companies. This is an opportunity to master new tools, upgrade your skills, and ask questions directly to industry experts;

4. Materials after classes – all presentations, guides, and useful links are stored in Google Classroom. You will have access to them even after the course is completed;

5. Ongoing feedback – we don’t leave students alone with challenges. We help you understand complex topics, provide feedback on practical tasks, and support you throughout the entire learning journey.

Program of the course System Administration & Technical Support

In the IT industry, it is crucial to ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of all systems. That’s exactly why specialists in system administration and technical support are needed.

Our course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation to start a career in IT. Step by step, you will master the in-demand skills for working in technical support, system administration, and related fields. The program includes the following modules:

  • Introduction to the IT field – get acquainted with the structure of the IT industry, key areas, roles, and growth opportunities.
  • Core cloud software – learn to work effectively with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, email services, and other cloud tools used in companies.
  • Operating systems (Windows and Linux) – gain basic skills in configuring, updating, and maintaining the two main OS used by IT professionals.
  • Command Line Interface (CLI) – learn to use the terminal efficiently to perform tasks in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Networks – understand how computer networks work, and learn to diagnose and solve potential issues.
  • Technical support (helpdesk) – learn to work in a helpdesk environment: respond to user requests, log information, and use ticketing systems for tracking and managing queries.
  • Virtualization – discover how to create and configure virtual machines (e.g., using VirtualBox or VMware).
  • Windows Server – learn to deploy, administer, and update server solutions based on Windows.
  • Linux Server – acquire basic skills in configuring and managing a Linux server (e.g., Ubuntu Server).
  • Automation – get introduced to simple task automation using scripts (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Tools and utilities – explore a set of useful software tools for daily tasks of administrators and support specialists.
  • English language – improve your technical English to read documentation, communicate with colleagues, and succeed in interviews.

  • Install and configure Windows and Linux
  • Work with the command line, terminal, and scripts (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Create and maintain local networks (LAN), configure Wi-Fi routers
  • Set up and maintain servers: file servers, web servers, Active Directory, etc.
  • Protect systems: updates, backups, antivirus, access restrictions
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and assist users as tech support
