How do you motivate veterans to study?
I always emphasize that learning is an opportunity to start a new chapter in life. It’s important to show that the skills they gain can truly help them find themselves in civilian life, build a career, or even start their own business. When veterans see tangible results and feel supported, motivation comes naturally.

What particular aspects of teaching veterans have you noticed?
For me, the main thing is to create comfortable conditions so that everyone can learn at their own pace. It often requires a bit more patience, an individual approach, and an understanding of their life experience. These are strong people, and when you point them in the right direction, the results are truly impressive.

What results inspire you the most?
What inspires me most is seeing veterans start working in fields they never imagined before. When they confidently say, “I can do it,” that’s the best reward for all the effort.

What changes do you notice during the learning process?
The biggest change is in how they see themselves. People become more open, more confident, and start to believe they can compete and achieve their goals. You can often see how their inner calm and desire to take action gradually return.

What advice would you give to those who are just planning to start learning?
Just start. Don’t think it’s too late or too difficult. The main thing is to take the first step — after that, everything becomes clearer. I always say: if you have the desire, the opportunities will definitely come.

For Volodymyr, teaching is not just about passing on knowledge — it’s a way to help veterans regain their confidence and find their place in a new life. It’s teachers like him who create the atmosphere of support and growth that makes the Academy for Heroes a true space for transformation.
