On August 28, 2024, representatives of the Academy for Heroes visited the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center in Lviv, where an educational project for war veterans undergoing rehabilitation will begin in September.
Veterans will take several weeks of courses on essential computer skills that will also motivate our heroes to further their IT education. The training program includes meetings with experienced representatives of IT companies and practical examples of successful IT careers for combatants. The classes will be taught by Volodymyr Pankiv, an IT teacher at the Academy, and coordinated by Maria Kondyrevych, the Academy’s project manager.
Additionally, Oleh Bilyansky, head of the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center, Dmytro Kuleshov, and Victoria Khymych, a social worker at UNBROKEN, presented rehabilitation opportunities for further cooperation with the Academy for Heroes. In the near future, both organizations are planning new joint projects, which we will definitely inform you about.
The project organizers express their special gratitude to AveryMatrix Ukraine, which donated the computer equipment necessary for the classes.
Oleksiy Druhov, the head of the Academy, noted that this is the second important project for veterans, and this time it is aimed at heroes who are undergoing rehabilitation and who inspire with their strength, courage, and true indestructibility.
The Academy for Heroes NGO invites everyone who cares to help with the professional training of veterans, and we especially appreciate any ideas that will help veterans become highly qualified professionals in civilian life.
