Who is this training for

We invite people from vulnerable population groups to free training, including:

  • demobilized servicemen and members of their families;
  • people with disabilities;
  • families raising two or more minor children;
  • IDPs;
  • family members (first degree of kinship) of prisoners of war and fallen or missing defenders of Ukraine;
  • people aged 55+ and other categories (view the list).

The training is implemented in partnership between the NGO “Academy for Heroes” and the “Lviv Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society”.

What you will learn during the course:

We will guide you step by step—from the fundamentals of web design to creating a complete design project. By the end of the course, you will:

  • understand how web design works in the real world and explore different types of digital products;
  • learn how to build user journeys, plan page structures, and create wireframes;
  • master visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, composition, and grid systems;
  • gain hands-on experience with Figma, including components, responsive layouts, and interactive prototypes;
  • learn how to prepare and hand off designs for development;
  • understand the principles of accessibility, usability, and inclusive design.

The course will conclude with a practical project that participants can present as a portfolio case study—providing a strong foundation for starting a career in the industry or working as a freelance designer.

Throughout the course, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors who will help you overcome challenges, as well as a community of like-minded participants who will encourage you every step of the way.

Classes will be held in Lviv at Sense Hub Lviv.
